Vollversammlung | general assembly of all students

[english below]

You’re unsatisfied with certain situations in daily university life? You got specific ideas on how to shape the university easier or simply better? Or you’d like to discuss students’ stance on different topics? The students’ general assembly (German: “Vollversammlung”, or “VV” for short) of all students is the right place to do all the above. But even without concrete ideas or suggestions, the general assembly is worth a visit, for every vote and voice matters!
General assemblies of students are held on the levels of all students of the same subject, their representation within the faculties (so called “Fachschaftsräte”) and the university. Members of each of those institutions are entitled to vote, so for the latter each and every student of the Leibniz University is. The VV has an advisory function, but can also initiate topics to be discussed and problems to be solved on itself. The general assembly of all students usually takes place once a year and is organized by the AStA, which accepts applications by students and their organisations. Accepted applications are passed on to the students’ council (“Studentischer Rat”), which is elected by students at the University’s elections once a year. Therefore, the VV’s decisions are shaping the work of the elected institutions of students’ self-governance.

Applications can be submitted in advance at fachschaften [at] asta-hannover.de.

Submitted motions will be published in time in the Stud.IP event for the General Assembly.
