Offers for Women's and Gender Policy at the AStA
Hello! I am the responsible person for Women's and Gender Policy at the AStA. Here is some information about my position, my way of working, and how I can support you.
Goals: I aim to raise awareness of gender-based and intersectional discrimination that specifically concerns women.
Working method: I work with the intention of creating a self-reflecting environment, and analytical, critical, solution-focused structures. That won’t be only within my job parameters but in an extension to different university settings.
Office hours: My office hours are exclusively for women and all people who identify as women, offering a protected space. Whether you have experienced discrimination, have questions, or are simply looking for support, you don't have to face this alone. Please don't hesitate to reach out!
Please note: We do not offer professional or psychological counselling. However, as a first point of contact, I am here to listen, support you with discretion, and refer you to the right resources.
How can I support you?
1. First contact & a listening ear: If you have experienced sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or discrimination on campus.
2. Referrals & networking: I can connect you with suitable internal and external counselling and support services.
3. Projects & events: Questions, ideas, or interest in getting involved in feminist projects.
4. Your ideas: Your own suggestions and concerns relating to women's and gender policy at our university are always welcome.
Please don't hesitate to come to me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to being there for you. You can reach out via mail fgp@asta-hannover.de
